Wiley Open Access Agreement

Wiley Open Access Agreement

Green Open Access HHMI Authors can submit the accepted version of the article to PubMed Central (PMC) for publication after a 12-month embargo period (from the first online version). This information applies to manuscripts submitted to Wiley after October 31, 2013. The agreement between the DEAL and Wiley institutions is part of a coordinated national strategy that allows for a global transition from today`s scientific journals to open access. Starting in 2019, DEAL-Institutions researchers will now be able to read all Wiley magazines and publish their own Open Access primary research and review articles, while maintaining copyright in their works. Wiley does not charge fees for authors covered by the agreement. Publication and reading fees (PAR) and access to APCS open access gold related to the agreement are paid centrally through the institutions. Some institutional funding policies may vary depending on gold-OA-APCs. Please consult them with your library with a few exceptions. As a precondition for the DEAL agreement, the statement “Open Access Financing is activated and organized by the DEAL project” is automatically added to the confirmation part of your document. This information is used for identification only to assign your article to the right institution if you choose the open access option, and it does not affect the information contained in the published article.
